The 5 Volt Adapter Kit is a simple kit that provided 5 volts for racks that do not have 5 volts available. It plugs into one socket on the power distribution board, and as a bonus provides 2 new sockets to make up for the one used by the adapter. The unit takes +12 volts and using a switching regulator generates 5 volts with high efficiency.
This is an easy skill level kit. It has no tricky soldering.
